Stanza is a sculptural portmanteau designed with solo trumpeters in mind, blending form and function to support performance and personal expression.
The piece was created with reference to abstract pyramidal geometry, chosen for its stability and its relationship to the trumpet bell structure. This tapering form allows the stand to support the instrument while also providing a plane for holding sheet music.
Per design constraints, Stanza was made from a single 3/4inch thick 8×4 sheet of wood—majority tension-fit.
